You find out about the ten new hires when the ten new hires show up. Then you're paying retail to expedite, or explaining to a manager why their new analyst is working off a personal machine for two weeks.
This session is about building a device demand forecast whether or not HR loops you in (and then getting it to maintain itself). We'll cover defining standard builds so you're forecasting three SKUs instead of thirty, building a rolling weekly forecast from either the hiring plan or your own deployment history, working backward from vendor lead times to real order by dates, and sizing buffer stock so you're covered without sitting on dead inventory.
Learn how to make it stop being a manual chore such as pulling deployment history straight from your MDM instead of counting by hand, using HRIS onboarding events as the trigger that updates the forecast, and setting the alert that tells you an order-by date is coming before it's behind you.
You'll leave with the forecasting calculator; something you can drop your own numbers into and run on Monday.

Hiring plans move fast. When headcount climbs quickly (new regions, new roles, new device standards), the teams that scale well are the ones that decide early what to automate and build for themselves and the employee on the other end.
In this session, IT leaders who have scaled through a hypergrowth year walk through the choices that worked: what they automated first, where zero-touch delivered, and how they built a day one experience that held up as the company grew. A new hire in São Paulo should get the same clean, ready-to-work setup as one in Denver by design.
They'll share the wins that bought back the most time, the automation that quietly removed the most friction for employees, and the lessons that shaped how they'd approach the next growth curve.
Bring your own scaling problems. The final stretch is open Q&A.
