Andrews Distributing runs Jamf for its iOS and macOS fleet, with 1,300 devices across six locations managed by a five-person team, and a backend delivery application that requires every mobile device to stay on the current iOS release. This session covers how the team moved more than 1,000 devices from iOS 18 to iOS 26 in seven days without anyone chasing users, a rollout that previously took a month of manual outreach. Attendees will see how findings from Jamf Protect and Jamf Security Cloud were routed to the employee who owns the device, how escalation to a direct manager after three ignored reminders changed update behavior, and how one SLA was applied consistently across iOS, macOS and Windows. The session also covers the inventory side of the problem, including flagging devices that have not checked in to Jamf for 90 days so damaged or lost hardware gets resolved instead of lingering in the MDM.
Mac admins will leave with a repeatable approach to the last mile of update compliance, the part Jamf can prepare but only the user can complete.
