In a world growing increasingly skeptical of instructional technology and how it is used in the classroom, it is important to pause and meet the moment. Dopamine addiction is real, AI is controversial and iPad devices can serve as a distraction for students. This session will focus on real strategies to ensure that instructional technology is a powerful and purposeful tool to continue to transform teaching and learning in the midst of controversy.

Before there was a budget or a project plan, there was just me, a few test iPads, a Jamf Pro tenant and one question: "Can we replace 22,000 student Chromebooks with iPad devices?" This session is the first-person account of how that starting point grew into a multi-school scholar iPad pilot, and then into a fleet-wide deployment across 61 campuses in a large K-12 charter network. We will cover the architectural decisions, the identity gaps that forced mid-flight pivots and the lessons that surfaced when devices reached real classrooms, including what the pilot revealed that changed how we approached the full rollout. Attendees will get a candid look at what it actually takes to move an entire organization off Chromebooks, from proof of concept to production at scale. We will also examine how technical teams can avoid shipping "well-managed boxes" that leave educators stranded, and why pedagogical handoff has to be part of the deployment plan from day one.

As states across the country pass phone-free school legislation, district-issued Apple devices have never been more important, but only if students can actually use them at home. In this session, we'll show K-12 IT admins how Jamf Teacher, Jamf Student and Jamf Parent work together to create a seamless device experience that adapts as students move from the classroom to the kitchen table. You'll learn how to configure take-home device programs that give parents meaningful control, students the right level of autonomy and IT the oversight needed to keep district policies intact, without generating a single help desk ticket. We'll also tackle the tough stakeholder conversations head-on, giving you the talking points to build buy-in from parents, teachers and school boards alike.

Your school has mastered iOS. Now MacBook Neo is on the horizon, and deploying Mac in an iPad-first environment comes with a different set of questions. This session gives K–12 admins a clear, confident path to introducing macOS alongside iOS. We'll break down the fundamental similarities and differences between macOS and iOS, explore the education-specific considerations that come with each and show how the Jamf K–12 platform, anchored by Jamf School, equips your school to deploy MacBook Neo with purpose and confidence. From onboarding workflows that ensure students and staff have everything they need from the moment the lid opens, to delivering apps outside the App Store and leveraging Apple's latest declarative device management capabilities through blueprints, MacBook Neo opens new possibilities for schools that have been iOS or iPadOS-first. Leave with a clear deployment roadmap, a solid understanding of Mac fundamentals, the key management and security shifts that protect your environment, and the knowledge of how the complete Jamf K–12 platform supports every step of that journey.
