Empowering End Users in Higher Ed: Inclusive Deployment with Jamf Self Service
In higher education, IT has both the opportunity and the responsibility to empower end users through accessible design. This session explores how Jamf Self Service can support accessibility goals while reducing IT overhead. Attendees will learn how to design inclusive workflows that make tools like screen readers, display adjustments and text-to-speech features readily available—without requiring admin access.
Key topics will include:
- Customizing Jamf Self Service for different user groups to surface relevant accessibility tools.
- Using PPPC profiles to streamline access and permissions for third-party accessibility tools.
- Designing workflows that reduce support tickets and promote user autonomy.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, grounded in firsthand experience and guided by the belief that users are the experts on their own accessibility needs.
This session is grounded in practical experience and a commitment to inclusive technology. Attendees will leave with clear strategies to build accessibility-focused Jamf workflows and a framework for making thoughtful, user-first deployment decisions.
