Jamf Setup and Reset (ChildLife Distraction Device)
Our iPads are used in a patient-facing role that needs to allow for different age-appropriate games and functions. In this session, I will show the steps we took to build out an iPad that can have multiple use cases.
We will discuss how we built out the separate functions by age and how we can shift iPads into a special enrollment that can add Bluetooth function. After a reset it is removed from the group.
This session is useful for those who have a large deployment of iPads that need to be multi-functional. With a simple "Reset,” the iPad can re-enroll and be set up again for a different function. We needed this reset function to protect patient information. The iPads were not used in the presentation of patient charts, but we found that there are so many games and apps that require a login that there needs to be a simple way to wipe all of that in one move and have a iPad that can be used again within a few minutes.
After this session, attendees will begin to form some ideas on how other Jamf admins can use Jamf Setup and Reset in their schools, hospitals and work situations.
