Always Connected, Always at Risk: How AI is Reshaping Mobile Security
Let’s be honest—most of us practically live on our phones. They’re always on, always connected and always on the move. That makes them prime targets, and the bad actors know it. Using AI, they’re crafting smarter scams, fake networks and apps that look real but are designed to steal your data. In this session, we’ll explore how mobile security is evolving; it's no longer just about securing the device, but also what it connects to. Verizon is leading the charge by embedding protection directly into the network, blocking threats and suspicious connections before they ever reach the device. Paired with the right solution, like Jamf, this creates a powerful layer of mobile defense. We’ll also discuss how AI is shaping the future of security—for both attackers and defenders—and how network-level protection combined with endpoint security can proactively stop threats. This isn’t a sales pitch—it’s a real look at where mobile security is headed and how we’re helping lead the way. If you're looking to stay ahead of mobile threats, especially on iPhones and iPads, this session is for you.

It Takes a Community: Success in Healthcare Transformation Doesn’t Happen in a Silo!
Two years ago, we invited a small group of our healthcare customers to take part in a video, sharing what Jamf means to them and how it has supported their digital transformation journeys. During that time, one of the participants said something that truly resonated: “We got into healthcare to help others — we should do more of that for each other.” That simple yet powerful statement sparked the beginning of our healthcare community. Fast forward to today, and we’re hearing directly from members of that very community about what it means to have each other to lean on — to share experiences, challenges, and support. It’s a reminder that when we come together, we’re not just transforming technology — we’re strengthening the heart of healthcare itself.
Jamf Bait and Tackle: All Things Phishing
You’d think that today’s widespread awareness of “phishing” would have led to a greater understanding of it, but in fact, it's lead to complacency. Jamf Setup and Reset (ChildLife Distraction Device)
Our iPads are used in a patient-facing role that needs to allow for different age-appropriate games and functions. In this session, I will show the steps we took to build out an iPad that can have multiple use cases. We will discuss how we built out the separate functions by age and how we can shift iPads into a special enrollment that can add Bluetooth function. After a reset it is removed from the group. This session is useful for those who have a large deployment of iPads that need to be multi-functional. With a simple "Reset,” the iPad can re-enroll and be set up again for a different function. We needed this reset function to protect patient information. The iPads were not used in the presentation of patient charts, but we found that there are so many games and apps that require a login that there needs to be a simple way to wipe all of that in one move and have a iPad that can be used again within a few minutes. After this session, attendees will begin to form some ideas on how other Jamf admins can use Jamf Setup and Reset in their schools, hospitals and work situations.

Our focus will be on streamlining ease of use for both admins and users. This session will include examples of how current SIM deployment strategies fall short, the hidden costs of not taking action and work through common objections that might prevent an organization from adopting modern practices. We’ll introduce critical eSIM benefits, including over-the-air deployment, rapid return to service and eliminating security threats like SIM swapping. Jamf can help make eSIM easier for users and admins across the device lifecycle. We’ll show you how to do it by leveraging Jamf’s built-in capabilities. This session is for organizations, large or small, looking for a more efficient, secure, and scalable mobile deployment strategy. Join us to start embracing modern all-eSIM workflows and stay ahead of the curve by securing devices, simplifying refreshes, and taking advantage of the integrations that Jamf offers.
Soaring in iPad Automation With Allegiant Air
How do you handle deployments across multiple locations in a highly regulated environment like the aviation industry? FAA regulations require visibility into features and functionality Apple devices traditionally don’t allow insight into. Add not having on-site IT in each location and you have a very complicated situation.
Allegiant Air’s Apple Team have combined multiple tools such as Cambrionix hub, Apple Provisioning Utility (APU), Jamf Setup and JAWA to get deeper and more accurate information about their fleet of devices than using Jamf alone. They can see everything from which base the iPad is located within all the way down to which smart locker slot it’s stored in. Each device reports all the usual details along with provisioning status and slot number directly into the Jamf Console.
Participants will observe and participate in a technical conversation about the Lego pieces required and what scripts were used to build this remote automation solution. We will answer: Why Cambrionix, APU, Jamf Setup and JAWA, and what details are needed to allow their planes to keep flying on schedule?
Streamlining Device Deployment With Placeholders
Is your summer as chaotic as mine? Are you given a bunch of devices and very little time to get them ready? Using Placeholders can help with a streamlined and purposeful deployment. This process optimizes device enrollment, particularly useful during summer for educational institutions when quick deployment of large device groups is necessary.
In this session, you will learn what Placeholders are in Jamf School. You will learn how to use Placeholders to configure large amounts of devices very quickly and accurately. I will give you my step-by-step process for data entry and import that will help you with a mistake-free deployment. The process I use will also help those who wear many hats and need to multitask while scanning or labeling devices.
Topics covered:
- Data entry process, including labeling and scanning
- Importing data into Jamf School
- Segmenting data for different profiles and locations
Student Loaner Devices: Leveraging Return to Service for Consistent Loaner iPad Experiences
We’ve all been there: A student needs a loaner device. Regardless of why their device isn’t accessible, it’s our job as IT professionals to ensure students have access to functioning technology and that our workflows minimize downtime. You hand them a loaner from the cart, but what happens? It’s out of space because the last student took a 3 hour video of the floor, and most of the apps are buried in folders that don’t make sense. If only there was a way to make sure these devices return to a “clean slate” every morning, providing a consistent experience regardless of the previous user.
See how the team at Evanston/Skokie School District 65 leverages the Return to Service command introduced in iPadOS 17 to ensure a consistent experience for loaner iPads by automating a nightly workflow in which the iPads get erased, set up and have a consistent home screen layout applied without the need to “touch glass.” Join Chris and Matt from District 65 as they discuss their process from pilot to deployment and share the lessons they learned along the way.
This presentation highlights the use of the Jamf Pro API to automate this workflow and the use of Smart Groups and configuration profiles to create a repeatable deployment process, ensuring a consistent experience for all users across multiple buildings.
Take Control of Mobile Device Management
Sometimes MDM feels like this:
Step one: Use Jamf to create a setting.
Step two: (A miracle occurs.)
Step three: Use Jamf to check, recheck and check again to see if the setting actually applied to your devices.
It's easy to feel like a lot of MDM happens "behind the curtain." This session will debunk, deconstruct and demystify MDM: how it works, how it doesn't and how admins can use it to be awesome.
Featuring:
- How to know which protocol does which things
- How to mix management protocols for fun and profit
- How to upgrade your outdated workflows to take advantage of the new hotness
- Why Jamf Pro doesn't include a retry button for configuration profiles and
- Why it doesn't need one
